Fiber Basics Seminar

Join us for an AHECTA pre-conference training seminar on Fiber Basics hosted by Toner Cable and Olson Technology!

The seminar is free to AHECTA institutional members only attending the June 2010 conference in Minneapolis, MN.

Many of us have access to and utilize fiber on our campuses for video distribution. Whether you already work on the fiber and could use a brush up on your knowledge and skills or just know that it’s used for distributing your signals and would like more understanding of it, this is a great course to attend!

This Fiber Optics seminar covers the basics of fiber optic communication. You will learn the applications of both single mode and multimode fiber, link budget calculations, fiber testing, fiber cleaning, as well as the different applications and technologies.
