A Celebration of AHECTA Student Video Makers

Maturing from an initial concept from past AHECTA staff, the Student Production Awards program has grown to become an integral event surrounding each annual conference.

Given the pace of technology and our drive to further grow the caliber and prominence of the SPA awards, AHECTA is in the process of restructuring the awards format for 2009.

We will introduce a new SPA Awards format and submission process at the 2008 Annual Conference. Be sure not to miss out on the opportunity to be one of the first to hear of the new format and how your talented student producers can get involved on your campus.

It is certain to create a buzz as we plan for our 2009 Annual Conference. With the restructure, AHECTA will not host an awards ceremony at the 2008 conference.

AHECTA would be remiss to not thank our longtime sponsor of the awards, MTV Networks and mtvU for their valuable contributions and promotion of past award events.

As AHECTA further develops our new awards structure, the next-generation of the SPA Awards will allow more opportunities for corporate and institutional members to become involved with the annual showcase. Be sure to check out some of our past award winners.
